Railway Cottage

Named to commemorate the extensive rail junction that existed up until the 1960's which was a major cross roads between all points of the compass, constructed with the sweat (and blood) of thousands of migrant workers, it was finished around 1850.

The locomotives carried vast freight including most local produce, as well as providing transport to many rural stops now erased. With the advent of the oil boom and the 'progression' of road building programs, the junction was reduced to an unmanned stop on the Cotswold Line for passengers only. We intend to furnish this cottage with prints and artefacts of that reflect this history.
The ground floor is open plan; comfortable living and dining space with a colour television  a digi box and DVD.

A bathroom with a power shower situated off the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils to the Visit Britain three star rating: cooker, fridge, microwave.
Upstairs are two single beds reached via the stairs, and a self contained double room off this. All linen is provided, as well as spare pillows.

A tea tray is waiting for you on arrival with a pint of milk in the fridge.
