The local paper has reported that the tourist industry is on a high in the Cotswold’s ,credit crunch is not affecting the tourist trade around the Cotswold’s, luckily!

Such a lovely weekend lots of sun,unlike last weekend when it rained non stop.Peace Haven had  all the cottages booked for a wedding party and unfortunately it rained all day.However Sunday lunch time the sun came out and an afternoon of fun with a bbq and plenty of wine and beer were consumed.

Last week saw Peace Haven full with Europeans a sure sign that the euro is doing our tourist trade good.We had Dutch French and Germans staying.On a par from last year i would say that Peace Havens European visitor’s are up by approx 40%.

Jenni Hines author of Anna Logan has been staying for two weeks at Peace Haven.During this time she has been signing books at several large bookstores and spending quiet quality time on her new book.Jenni has now returned to France and will possible be back at Peace Haven during July.

Poems

 

Several of my individual poems have been published within a compilation of poems all in separate books, which are available through United Press Limited, publishers. Fifteen poems published to date since 2001

 

Another poem has been published in the Donkey Breed Society Year Book, “The Donkey” in 2002

 

I also wrote a poem, which I read out at the Hay-on-Wye book festival in 2002 and presented it to Richard Booth (the self-proclaimed King of Hay and founder of the Hay-on-Wye Book Festival)

 

 

Articles

 

An article regarding Llanigon, (famous for The Kilvert Diaries) the Hay Bluff, and surrounding areas of  Hay-on-Wye (where I lived in England/Wales) for Border Lines magazine (Hay-on-Wye) has also been published in 2002

 

 

Short Stories

I intend to collate some more of my own poems, which I have written mainly about animals and hope to publish towards the end of this year.

 

 

Second Novel

 

Currently I am in the process of writing my second novel and hope to complete this shortly with a view to publication in late summer.

 

 

Short Stories for Children

 

Together with the short stories already written and published. I have written a further story and intend to write some more stories for children which I endeavour to complete shortly after New Year 2010, for publication. These will possibly contain some illustrations within the stories.
