Getting a taste for University life is at the heart of this year’s residential summer school at the University of Gloucestershire, with 50 young people from 19 county schools.
The annual event sees Year 10 students, aged 14 and 15, enjoying a wide range of academic and social activities.

Chipping Sodbury Chamber of Commerce has hired its very own Town Crier to help to promote the town and the businesses located here. The Town Crier first appeared to support the Farmers Market on the 18th June and his next scheduled appearance is on Thursday 29th July 2010.

Gloucestershire-based martial arts group Nine Circles Kobudo visits Snowshill on Saturday 17th July for an afternoon display of traditional Japanese martial arts. And it is also one of the biggest days for the village community – the annual fete, taking place on the village green, a stone’s throw from the Manor.

Ebrington & District Gardening Club has been awarded a RHS Gold Medal for their entry “The Good Life” in the Inspiring Spaces class of the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2010.
This is the second year running that the Club has won a gold medal and this is a tremendous achievement for a small cotswolds village club.
